Is there anything i should do or watch out before, during , and after body repair ? how about preparation before and during painting ? thanks in advance.

This is a difficult question to answer without seeing the project you are working on in order to get a fair answer to your question. Some things to consider are, Do you have any mechanical experience? What you intend to do is a long and time consuming project which requires specialty tools and a large shop, and plenty of money to go along with it. For example how badly is the metal corroded? is there still any paint covering the metal? Is there rust? if so, is it only surface rust or is the metal eaten up by the rust? how far is the corrosion is it thru the exterior panels and into the main body? There are several more issues to ponder. The best thing I could suggest is perhaps enrolling at your local comunity college and take a begining class in Body & Fender refinishing. You can learn the basics working on your own car with access to alot of the expensive tools, plenty of space to work and a paint booth you will need to conquer your task. You might even make friends to help you(there are heavy/bulky items that will require an extra hand or two)All this plus the enjoyment of restoring your own car. I have done this and I went on to restore a few different cars. Good luck!
