I have a ‘96 Cavalier and on the wind deflectors on the side windows the glue or tape is beginningg to wear off. Does anyone know what I could use to fix it?

My window seals have been damaged by some idiot painting them with paint and primer. Also some are cracked and faded from sun damage. The dealership says $500 for new ones. Someone please help with a DIY trick to get the window moldings looking like new again without purchasing new ones. Thanks
