Auto body shops from Woodland Park to Limon are overwhelmed this week with people bringing in cars damaged from the 4th of July hail storms. State Farm Insurance alone says it has received more than 600 auto claims in the two days since the storms. State: Smog Check Shop Illegally Certified Cars
State regulators have shut down a Los Angeles smog check shop that authorities say routinely and illegally certified high polluting cars. The Bureau of Automotive Repair said Tuesday that during a two-hour undercover surveillance of the AM PM Smog shop, each of the 13 smog tests conducted there were fraudulent.
